Wine + Funk

Most visitors come to Santa Barbara to relax along the beach but when they don't have their feet in the sand, you can find them exploring many of the local activities, events, shops, and restaurants. One area in particular that we love is the Funk Zone. It runs between the 101 and the ocean and is adjacent to the Amtrak station. This area has everything from wine-tasting rooms, to craft breweries, distilleries, restaurants and hidden galleries.

One of Santa Barbara’s must do’s is The Urban Wine Trail a self-guided trail of 25+ tasting rooms pouring Santa Barbara County wines. The Funk Zones hosts 14 of these wineries on ‘the trail’ and what better way to get to know our wine country without having to leave the city. Here is a link to all of the wineries you will find in the Funk Zone.

Looking for something that is a half day adventure in the Funk Zone? Sign up for a 3 hour tour with Eat This, Shoot That and spend an afternoon savoring amazing food or sipping top-shelf wines while learning food and travel photo tips from a pro tour guide/local foodie.

This is only a small taste of all the Funk Zone has to offer! We invite you to explore Santa Barbara and discover all the amazing experiences and opportunities it has to offer.
